1. Porthkerry Caravan site is located on the coast, east of Rhoose. The western part of the site occupies a quarry from a former lime workings, which is denoted on the 3rd edition Ordnance Survey County Series mapping (Glamorgan, sheet L 7, 1920).

2. The aftermath of a catastrophic collapse of the cliff at the caravan park in 2012 was recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 22nd May 2012.
