DescriptionAn enclosure located on a stream bank a short distance from a ruined building (NPRN 275675). It is rectangular with rounded corners and measures internally 17m long (NW-SE) by 6m-8m wide but open on its streamward side perhaps due to river erosion of the bank. The collapsed walls, heavily overgrown with mosses and grasses, are spread to stony banks 1m-2m wide and 1m high.
The enclosure and building are probably components of a farmstead of sixteenth or seventeenth century date. The enclosure appears as fragmentary walling on early OS mapping. The adjacent house is not portrayed.
