Description
This possible former chapel site is depicted on historic (1891 and 1905) Ordnance Survey mapping, some 160m north-west of Llanllyr House (NPRN 5654). Modern Ordnance Survey mapping depicts a spring some 50m to the north-north-east. This field is also given for the site of the old house at Llanllyr, and a lead coffin was reportedly dug up here in the nineteenth century. The chapel may have been associated with Llanllyr nunnery
