Description
A war memorial to commemorate the fallen of the First World War. Located on prominent site at entrance to the Groe and erected in July 1924. In Doulting stone on a Llanelwedd stone base, with four Portland stone figures and bronze tablets with inscriptions.
Classical style podium raised on three steps supports late medieval style octagonal tapering shaft surmounted by cross. Statues of four male figures represent Army, Royal Navy, Air Force and Merchant Navy. (Cadw Listing database)
