Eithin-Duon appears to be the remnant of a 16th or 17th century single storey house. There is no evidence of a loft, but the building retains in its north wall the original doorway and window of pre-glazing form. The site appears on the first edition OS 25" map, CA XVI. 3, of 1889. It now functions as an outbuilding to the present-day house.
In 1543 John Hughes, Chancellor of Bangor Cathedral, presented this farm and two others to Magdalene College, Cambridge to found a scholarship.
