DescriptionAn early twentieth century memorial statue of the First World War poet Ellis Humphrey Evans (Hedd Wyn) is located in a slightly elevated position at the west side of Pen y Garreg Street, next to the Moriah Chapel in the centre of the village of Trawsfynydd.
The figurative statue is mounted on a rough stone stepped plinth. Into the plinth is set a bronze memorial plaque. Leaning against the front plinth base is a slate slab which bears the same inscription. In front of it, set into the ground, is a further inscribed memorial slate slab. (from Cadw Listing database)
