Frongoch farm was purchased in 1919 by the University of Aberystwyth to establish the Welsh Plant Breeding Station. New laboratories are equipped in the agricultural buildings and a`field laboratory? in Frongoch fields. Marked on 3rd and 4th edition OS mapping as 'Frongoch Experimental Farm (UCW)'.
