St Edmund's church is located on the west side of Ammanford Road (A473) which passes through Ty Croes. The church was built in 1913-14 to designs of W.D.Jenkins of Llandeilo, in a free-Gothic of the turn-of-the-century type. It is constructed of coursed, squared rock-faced local stone with paler dressings, and slate roofs. It consists of nave with south porch and timber-spired west bellcote, and narrower chancel with north vestry. Inside, the nave roof is arch-braced, wagon roof in the chancel. Fittings include an octagonal font with carved panels. Stained glass includes works by Celtic Studios (1958-1990) and Toft of Swansea (1997).
