Description
St David's church is located on the east side of the A483 in a small rectangular churchyard on the south side of Howey village. It was built in 1904 to designs of R.Wellings Thomas. It is constructed of dark rock-faced sandstone with contrasting red terracotta Perpendicular tracery from Ruabon, and slate roofs. The church comprises a small single chamber, gabled north porch, and hip-roofed south vestry.
The church replaced an iron predecessor which was located nearby, again on the roadside about 175m to the south-west (NPRN 421203).
