Description
The old church of St David's was located towards the north-west end of the village. It appears on the first-edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of 1879. The depiction suggests a church consisting of nave and apsidal chancel with a small porch on the south-west. It was replaced in 1902-4 by a new church situated adjacent to it on the north (NPRN 12693). This in turn was destroyed by fire in 1977 followed by construction nearby of the modern church (12602).
