Description
Trinity church, described as a chapel of ease, was located on the west side of the A469 to the north-west of Pengam. It appears on the first-edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch plan of 1877 attached to a complex of buildings known as Gelligaer Charity Schools (Endowed). By 1900 the church no longer appears as such on the map and the entire complex is referred to simply as 'School', later known as Lewis School Pengam (NPRN 411420). The entire site has since been cleared.
As initially portrayed the church was a simple rectangular chamber with a west porch. No further information is available on the history and origins of this church.
