DescriptionThis site is named on the 1st edition (1889) of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps as Cefn-coch Factory (Woollen), but the 2nd edition names it as Pandy Cefn-coch. The possibility that the change of name reflects a contraction of textile functions at the site is supported by the silting of the large mill pond 100 metres south of the building complex. All the buildings survive and are shown on the most modern maps, despite the realignment of the road which now passes through the site of the mill pond.
