The 1st and 2nd editions of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps record 'Old Corn Mill' at this location, some 170 metres north-west of Aberhoyw Farm (NPRN 25018). The maps show two buildings, but there is no evidence of water engineering, suggesting that the mill had been inactive since well before 1889 the date of publication of the 1st edition.
