The 1st edition of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1889 names a woollen mill, Factory Uchaf, immediately north of the corn mill (NPRN 423227). Its waterwheel was on the west end of the building, taking its water from the tailrace of the corn mill. The building is depicted on the later editions, but is not named as a woollen mill. Its footprint survives only as low walls.
