Bethesda-bach is a hamlet situated three and a half miles south of Caernarfon. In the first edition of the 25inch OS map, published in 1889, the hamlet is referred to as 'Bethesda.' However, by the second edition published in 1900, it had become 'Bethesda-bach.' The hamlet consist mainly of two short rows of detached and semi-detached housing called Collfryn Cottages and Ty'n Lon. At the north western end of Ty'n Lon is Salem Welsh Wesleyan chapel (NPRN 6922). Mount Hazel country house (NPRN 301277) is less than half a mile west of the hamlet.
