Description
Penparc is a small village situated two and a half miles north east of Cardigan. The village has expanded rapidly since the fourth edition of the 6inch OS map, published in 1953. On that map, there were only a few named detached houses (such as Penpark Villa; Pant-teg; Llain-Ifor and Llain-Deg) and a Welsh Baptist chapel (NPRN 7320). Modern OS maps, however, show that several rows of semi-detached houses have been built, especially along the A487 and the two minor roads which means the village has developed a triangular form. Penparc has a petrol station and garage, and about a mile north east of the village centre there is a primary school educating approximately 110 pupils between the ages of four and eleven.
