Plwmp is a small village situated on the crossroads where the A487 and a minor road meet, approximately twelve and a half miles north east of Cardigan and eight and a half miles south west of Aberaeron. The village seems to have expanded a little in recent years, with new builds focused mostly along the northern road out from the crossroads. Plwmp has a post office and small shop in the village centre, as well as an Independent chapel (NPRN 7322) on the south western edge of the village.
