The 1st and 2nd editions of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1890 and 1907 respectively, depict an active corn mill at this location. Its water was broght from the Nant Cwmfelin-boeth stream through a 250 metres-long leat, and the water wheel would have been on the north-east gable of the mill. The building survives.
