Description
Both the 1st and 2nd editions of the historic 25-inch Ordnance Survey maps, published in 1889 and 1905 respectively, depict a woollen mill at this location. A 340 metres-long mill race brought water from the Afon Clettwr Fawr, and by 1905 a second mill race had been constructed to tap the Nant Glowen stream. The water wheel would have been at the south-west gable of the mill, the buildings of which survive as Ffatri Cottage.
