Period19th Century
DescriptionThe 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1876, 1906 and 1916 respectively, all depict a woollen factory at this location on the north bank of the River Loughor. A weir 160 metres upstream diverted water into a leat, and the water wheel appears to have been on the south-west gable of the mill. The building is still extant, converted to a dwelling. It is built of random rubblestone and its double pitched roof is now covered with concrete tiles.
