St Michael's church is located on the north side of the A5 road through Valley, set in a rectangular churchyard used as a cemetery. It was built in 1887 to designs of the third Lord Stanley, with his agent Mr Elliot. The plan is cruciform, with neo-Tudor windows and without crossing arches.
