Description
A series of pits up to 2m deep, spread across steep undulating hillside, covering an area 150m E-W by 30m downslope. The pits are mainly grassed over, with much loose stone strewn around, and evidence of natural weathering. No evidence of worked faces, but horizontal beds revealed by weathering and sllippage. Appears to be a continuation of pits to the SE (NPRN 500347).
Recorded as part of Uplands Initiative Survey. W B Horton, Hayman and Horton, 18/06/2007.
