A small sqaure building, fed by a mill race diverted from the main stream adjacent to a weir (SN04060329) is shown on OS 1st edtion mapping of 1865 with the annotation 'Carding Mill'. The building is shown as unroofed and not annotated on 2nd edition mapping of 1907. Modern aerial photography suggests that the building's footings may still be extant.
