B. The base of a small square structure. It consists of walls about 0.45m thick rendered on the inside, mainly of stone but with brick used at the side of the single doorway at the E side of the structure. Overall it is 3.4m x 3.6m with a maximum height of 0.7m. Described as Coastguard Lookout on 2nd edition 25 inch O.S. map. On the same map a few yards N is what is described as a "Flagstaff" - no sign of this now but probably associated with the lookout. Visited in 1995.
