A large clay extraction pit, two buildings and a well are shown on OS 1st edition mapping. Nothing is now visible on modern aerial photography, although the edge of the claypit is delimited by tree cover. LiDAR data shows the final extent of extraction area. This extends both southeastward and westward from the boundary suggested by the OS 1st edtion mapping
