Description
This is one of a series of small coal levels along the lower slopes of Mynydd Maesteg, above Evanstown and the Dyfolog valley. It first appears on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of 1900, but are not labelled and may already have been disused by that time. The hollow where the level entered the hill is still visible, as is the small spoil tip downslope. The area of the working, including its level entrance and tips is about 29 metres east to west by 8 metres. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 10 March 2011
