DescriptionThis large two-storeyed house forms one of a pair with Number 62 Fields Park Road, and was probably designed by Habershon and Faulkner, architects, of Newport in the 'Jacobethan' style, circa 1870-80 It is built from random square red sandstone rubble, with freestone dressings and some slate hanging. It also has slate roofs, with gable end and axial stacks.
It is listed as a very good example of the Jacobethan style favoured in the later nineteenth century for large suburban houses, which includes an exceptionally fine interior.
