A rock-cut level in a SW-facing hillside, the entrance approximately 1.5m high and 1.5m wide, mainly blocked with rubble and waterlogged. It is approached by a cutting 14m long NE-SW, at the SW end of which is a spoil tip 20m diameter and 2m high, comprising loose rubble. Marked as a level for slate on the 1891 OS map. There is a prospecting trench immediately to its NW (NPRN536703).
