Pen-Twyn Chapel school house was built in 1812 and the chapel later in 1820. The chapel was enlarged in 1849 and rebuilt in 1903. The current chapel, dated 1903, is built in the Sub-Classical style of the gable entry type and with a large arch in the facade.
