DescriptionAn early C19 spoil tip, associated with the Pen-y-ffordd-goch iron ore workings. It is up to 4m high, approximately 60m N-S by 40m. It may have extended further W but is now cut off by the B4246, which is immediately on the W side. Covered in moorland vegetation. The tip was probably fully formed by the time the Keepers Pond was built c1817.
