Description
God the Holy Ghost catholic church was originally a flannel mill (see Syar's Mill NPRN: 410590) It was converted into the church in 1947 and greatly reduced in height to the ground and first floor level. The mill was originally Six-storey. There are some original openings in the ground storey of the church, but no other original features survive.

The sanctuary, altar and tabernacle were designed by Michael Murray. The altar is made of Welsh slate and aluminium.
