Description1. Cause begun ca. 1812 & chapel built 1864 as Salem Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. Repaired 1902 & closed 1922; later converted to residential. Dedicated May 1958 as Catholic Church of the Holy Cross. Built in the later Vernacular style, long-wall entry type. Status (1998): in use as Catholic Church.

2. Single-storey lateral: pebbledash cladding, with a stuccoed plinth and stuccoed end pilasters. Slate roof with reconstructed eaves. Two window openings and centre gabled porch. Flat-headed window openings with painted cills, containing 20th-century windows of 12 panes of frosted glass. Flat-arched doorway with 20th-century door of eight wood panels.
