Peniel Methodist Chapel was built in 1808, rebuilt in1844 and 1867, and then altered in 1902. The present chapel, dated 1902, is built in the Classical style of the gable entry type. The chapel is constructed of bath stone with a slate roof. In the gable is a rectangular slate plaque inscribed: "Peniel Chapel/ Built in 1808/Rebuilt in 1844/ and partly reconstructed/ renovated in 1902". By 1998 peniel had fallen into disuse.
