Blaen-y-Cefn Methodist Chapel was built in 1808, rebuilt in 1837, altered in 1869 and the interior remodelled in 1884. The present chapel, dated 1837, was built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type. Blaen-y-Cefn is now Grade 2 listed as a good example of a chapel which retains its period character.
