A Sunday School was formed in 1800 but Jerwsalem Methodist Chapel was not built until 1805. The chapel was rebuilt in 1825, 1851 and again in 1900. The present chapel, dated 1900, is built in the Simple Gothic style of the gable entry type. Until 1900 this chapel was known as Ty'n Ryhyd.
