Description
Froncysyllte Methodist Chapel was built in 1860 and rebuilt in 1871 to the design of architect Richard Owen of Liverpool, in the Sub-Classical style with a gable entry plan. Broncysyllte was a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel until at least the time of the OS 1/2500 Revision of 1897-9 but by the time of the Royal Commission Census of 1911 it had a Calvinistic Methodist congregation. The chapel appears to have been known by several names: Capel Broncysylltau; Gorsffwyfa; Beth-Hogla and Capel y Fron. By 2003 the chapel had been converted for residential use.
