Description
Capel-y-Felin/Mill Street Methodist Chapel was built in 1801 and rebuilt in 1859. From 1868 the congregation moved to the larger chapel in Market Street (NPRN 7888). In the later nineteenth century Capel-y-felin was converted into four dwellings and then in 1913 acquired by the Borough Council and converted into an electricity generating station operated by 'The Ruthin Electricity Supply Co.' Capel-y-felin was subsequently used by the electricity supply company MANWEB as a depot and transformer sub-station. Recently the property was sold and the upper floor converted to residential accommodation.
