Dinas Powys Church in Wales Primary School was built 1969-71 to the designs of Alex Gordon & Partners. Contractors were John Morgan (Builders) Ltd. of Cardiff. Single-storey low profile design with brick foundations and heavily fenestrated through curtain walling to maximise sunlight into the classrooms. The school could originally accommodate 280 pupils. Build cost around £70,000.
