Bethel Methodist Chapel was built in 1822 and modified in 1838 and 1845. The chapel was rebuilt in 1866 in the Sub-Classical style of the gable-entry type. The school wing was added later. Bethel is now Grade 2 Listed as a well preserved and interesting example of a mid nineteenth century chapel.
