Type Of SiteDESERTED RURAL SETTLEMENT
PeriodPost Medieval
DescriptionAn enclosure, two rectangular structures - one possibly a dwelling - and a circular building in Craig Cerrig-gleisiad are located on the west side of the cwm head wall close to a dry gully formed in the steep south-east facing slope.
This group of structures has the appearance of a transient settlement possibly linked to seasonal use of these uplands in the late medieval/early post-medieval periods (see NPRNs 301972-5). A group of related structures lies a short distance to the north-east (84789).
All features are overgrown with heather.
