DescriptionBethania Baptist Chapel was built in 1832 and then rebuilt in 1877 to the design of architect Richard Owen of Liverpool. The chapel is a stone-built, gable entry chapel in the Sub-Classical style with yellow brick dressings & quoins. The front gable has a segmentally-headed centre doorway with flanking round-arched windows and with paired segmentally-headed windows over. A plaque in the gable is inscribed "Bethania/ 1876". The side elevations have three- window r.h., and two-window l.h. returns, with flat-headed windows, their heads at eaves level. There is a Sunday School built on to the l.h. return, and a stone front boundary wall with iron gates and railings.
