Description
The Brecknock and Abergavenny Canal, largely in water and in leisure use, runs between bridge no.52 at Pontymoile (nprn 34552), where it forms a junction with the Monmouthshire Canal (nprn 85125) and a terminal basin at Brecon (nprn 85496). It was opened in stages between 1797 and 1812. The two Canals, along with the Crumlin Branch (nprn 85126) form the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal (nprn 85172)
