Capel Celyn Methodist Chapel was first built in 1821 and rebuilt in 1893 to the design of architect Robert Lloyd Jones of Bala. The chapel was built in the Simple Gothic style with a gable-entry plan but was submerged with the creation of Llyn Celyn reservoir.
