Tunnel Pits (OS 6-inch 1st Edn.1876 and 2nd Edn 1901)

Commenced sinking 1859 but deferred. Work restarted 1869.
South Pit commenced raising coal Aug,1874.
North Pit commenced raising coal Apr,1876.
The two Tunnel Pits commenced work in 1874 and 1876 but were closed in 1924. The site was subsequently cleared and levelled. (Duplicate of NPRN33539.)
