Part of the plateway system connecting various ironstone and coal levels on the NE slope of Mynydd Aberd're with a transhipment point on the Cwm Pit Railway.

1905 (OS 6-inch 2nd Edn.): An extension of a branch running south to an ironstone level from the main western line. The extension appears to have been of double track as far as a coal level, continuing as single track beyond, to further workings or spoil heaps.
