Description
1. A tramroad from Tyla limestone quarries terminating on top of a high embankment over the end of which the limestone was tipped to await collection at the lower level and carriage to Blaenavon Ironworks.
2000/03/07/H&H/RH

2. A line of tramroad approximately 250m long N-S. It is indistinct at the N end where it appears to have been cut by the B4246 Blaenavon to Llanfoist road. Its relationship to the section of tramroad further N and N of Pen-y-ffordd-goch is not clear (see nprn 260737 and 67341). The course of the tramroad is parallel with and immediately E of the road. It is embanked on the E side. At the S end is a high, steep-sided embankment, up to 8m high at the downhill (S) end.
