Description1. The site is depicted on the OS 25 inch plans 1889 and 1903. Set with woodland behind to the NW, it sits proud of the valley on an artificial square terrace with hints at a formal layout around the exposed S side. There are woodland paths and a great deal of orchard area. It is possible that a productive garden was house at the adjacent property Cil y Bleiddiau, where the pattern of enclosure to the N changes between editions.

2. This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Radnorshire XXXVI, sheet 7 (1904). Its main elements on that map include parkland, terrace and carriage drive. C.H. Nicholas, RCAHMW, 25th August 2006.
