Description
Bethesda Independent Chapel was built in1860, extensively modified in 1878 and rebuilt in 1906. The present chapel, dated 1906, is built in the Sub-Classical style of the gable-entry type, with round-headed windows to the upper storey and flat-headed to the lower. The central bay has a double panelled door with a plain round-headed light over, above which is a larger round-headed window with drip-mould. There is a giant arch in the pediment, within which is the inscription 'ADEILADWYD 1860 AILADEILADWYD 1906 - BETHESDA - CAPEL Y ANNIBYNWYR'. The chapel has two storeys, with a central door way entry. By 2004 the chapel had been converted for residential use.
