Description
The Society of Friends Chapel on High Street was the first Quaker meeting house in Swansea, built in 1656 and then rebuilt in on the other side of the burial ground in 1809 (NPRN 91405). The chapel was rebuilt again, on the original High Street site, in 1876 and this building enlarged in 1899, 1909 and 1929. The 1876 meeting house was destroyed by bombing during 1940-3 and demolished.
