The Chapel Bay Fort was constructed in 1891 to protect the approaches to Milford Haven. It is privately owned and underwent conservation work in 2005. Originally it had three ten-inch rifled muzzle loading guns, but these were replaced in 1900 by three six-inch breech loading guns.
